Rick Martin

Rick Martin started working with the Manitoba Rural Learning Consortium (mRLC) in the fall of 2013.  He is currently the Associate Dean at the University of Winnipeg Collegiate, and before joining the University in 2011 he worked for 33 years in the Fort Garry and Pembina Trails School Divisions.

Rick has been an educational leader for over 25 years, and has been a consultant in Organizational and Human Resource Development since 1984, when he joined the Manitoba Teachers Society Leadership Team.  In addition to providing many workshops to schools, School Divisions and outside agencies, he has been working as an Agency Trainer with the Center for Cognitive Coaching since 2004.

Rick has been a school administrator at all levels, and believes passionately that leaders must mediate growth in themselves and others. To that end, Rick has worked with colleagues and other agencies to provide support to educators in their efforts to develop purposeful, creative and supportive learning environments.

Rick is committed to providing support to school leaders and other educators in Rural Manitoba as they examine ways and means to provide quality instructional programs to learners across the province.
