Anne Reimer

Anne Reimer is a facilitator with the Manitoba Rural Learning Consortium. Anne has more than 25 years of experience in math and science education.  Her educational journey includes having taught a wide variety of high school math courses through a number of curriculum shifts, having completed graduate studies in math education, being involved in various divisional and provincial groups dealing with curriculum and assessment, and becoming a curriculum support teacher for high school math and science in the Hanover School Division.  These varied experiences allow her to bring both depth and breadth to her work with the mRLC.

Using a backwards planning model, she works with groups of teachers to identify essential learning outcomes specifically with respect to high school math curricula.

Anne believes strongly in the power of teachers talking to teachers as they seek to make learning purposeful and meaningful for today’s student and tomorrow’s citizen.  She is looking forward to working with rural educators to build an effective learning network.
